Health Benefits of Taking Stairs
Yes, I had an opportunity to take stairs for at a least a month this semester and it made a number of health differences to me. Taking stairs is considered one of the best exercises when it comes to burning fats, making the lower part strong, and developing good health.
The continuous and vigorous movement of my legs enabled me to have a deeper breath hence, raising the level of my heartbeat. Additionally, it played a vital role in enabling blood to flow to all parts of the body. It protected me against gaining more weight, high blood pressure, and clogged arteries. Taking stairs at a reduced pace has helped me burn calories and keep fit. This reduced the danger of developing chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. It also made my muscles and bones to be strong hence improving my strength. I preferred taking stairs this semester because it is related with improved mental health. Good mental health has enabled me to concentrate and focus on my studies this semester. It enabled my body to release good hormones that enabled me to have time to reflect and think about the main factors in handling daily tensions and stress. My self-confidence and self-esteem have improved and this has assisted me in achieving my objectives.
Stair taking has strengthened my heart and lungs enabling me to take in more oxygen. An efficient body has higher immunity and as a result, I have not contacted common colds and flu. It further reduced the possibility of developing chronic health conditions like high blood pressure and Type 2 diabetes.
In conclusion, it is health to take stairs because it improves one’s health and prevent one from developing chronic health conditions.
