Are there any scandals associated with the company Amazon company has been accused on poor working conditions across its various its various warehouses and distribution centers especially in the United States and Germany. In Breinigsville, Pennsylvania, the company was accused of lack of air conditioning in their warehouses leading to dehydration of employees. Amazon has also been accused of overworking its employees who are forced to walk up to 15 miles while on duty or face the danger of being sacked. Others have been given discriminative and restrictive contracts that forbid them from working for Amazon’s direct and indirect competitors for one and a half years after leaving the company.

In Germany, the company has been accused of hiring security officers who are neo-Nazi sympathizers who mistreated female and foreign employees. Some of the security officers even wore neo-Nazi uniforms while duty at the distribution centers.

Would you like to work for this company? Why or why not? Amazon is one of the fastest growing companies globally. It is a multinational corporation with operations in various industries and sectors. Despite the controversies it has faced over the years, its strong and visionary leadership has managed to steer the company towards greater success and resolved the various controversies. I would like to work at the company because of the unique organizational culture and values. It also offers unique career growth opportunities for its employees. Working at the company will offer me with a unique opportunity for upward mobility when it comes to my career development. Moreover, the company is a market leader when it comes to innovative online shopping which is a field that I have a strong interest in venturing in.
