Paper on Ideological Difference between Democrats and Republicans

The American constitution is structured that it accommodates the electoral technique based on the two-party system of the Democrats and republican that represents the binary nature of the citizens’ political views. Founded in the 1820s by President Andrew Jackson, the Democrats are significantly directed towards the tenet of equality and growth (Dominguez). Conversely, the republic party developed from the old Federalist and Whig parties during the 1850s mainly agitate for liberty and property and seems appealing to entrepreneurs and middle-class individuals (Sowell). Notably, the Republicans have a strong physical reaction to threatening stimuli than the Democrats (Craig). As such, this paper precisely aims at discussing the ideological difference between the two parties with more focus on the democrat’s value which is has my preferred presidential candidate governor George Connor.

Ideological Difference between Republicans and Democrats

Both the Republican and Democrats indicate distinct cognitive forms and significant number of studies suggests that biology affects their political attitudes and beliefs. Having a strong support base in the Old South, Mid-West, and Alaska, the Republican Party demonstrates a conservative approach to the values they represent (Sowell). In essence, the party agitates for individual rights and are cautiously optimistic about human nature. Additionally, the Republicans tend to imply novelty and uncertainty in reaction to situational dangers and encounters. Further, conservatives believe that the federal government should not have substantial role in the citizens’ lives through minimal spending on social programs (Craig). Considerably, the party stands for less government involvement in enterprises and economy and favors lower taxes to boost businesses.

In contrast, the Democratic Party has a significant support in the Northeast and West of Seaboards including Hawaii. The party has a strong physical reaction to impeding dangers compared to the liberals as they believe in dialogue as a form of solving conflicts (Craig). Further, Democrats have an intense liberal stand on fundamental matters such as understanding that the federal government should be highly involved in its citizens lives especially those in need. Considerably, the party agitates for a social engineering concept to have an equitable community and the necessity for the government to expand social programs to reduce the level of inequality (Dominguez). Importantly, the Democrats are centered on a philosophy of high taxes to help in disseminating wealth between the rich and the poor by enhancing heavy regulations.
