The paper will be on ethics: Patient’s Rights

In regards to format, students must provide the following:

-Abstract
-Overview, current scope of selected topic on the field of public health
**************If applicable, a historical perspective on the past and present legal/political impact(s) of your selected issue
-Review of literature
*****************Current impact topic has on various entities (legal system, policies, health care research, etc.)
-Discussion/Recommendations
*******************Policy or legal modifications
-Future implications

All papers will require an abstract (no more than 150 words) and proper referencing/citations. You must reference at least 11 scholarly sources in your paper in proper APA 7th edition format (these items will not be included in the required page total). Also, any graphs or charts provided must be included in an appendix (these items will not be included in the required page total).

Select a topic related to an ethical issue in health care and complete an 8-10 page final paper  plus your  title page, abstract, Appendix (if needed) and Reference page.

 

Your selected topic must be approved by the instructor (via email) by the end of Week 4.

Avoid use of secondary sources like websites or textbooks, instead us primary, scholarly journals, reports, etc.  If you include a graph or chart (data), the chart/graph should take up NO MORE than ¼ page, and be properly cited.

 

APA 6th edition format (these items will not be included in the required page total). Also, any graphs or charts provided must be included in an appendix (these items will not be included in required page total).

Final Papers will be graded according to the 500-600 level Rubric.

Final Ethics Paper Requirements:

YOU MUST USE THE FINAL ETHICS PAPER TEMPLATE PROVIDED.  Your paper must be at least 8-10 pages and include: title page, abstract, introduction, a body in which all items above are addressed, a well-defined conclusion, and reference page.  Your paper must include at least 5 scholarly references (no Wikipedia!).  References should be scholarly articles, CDC or WHO reports, etc.  Avoid use of secondary sources like non-scholarly websites or textbooks (although you will need to use your Communicable Diseases Manual for certain parts of the assignment).  If you include a graph or figure for the section on surveillance data, make sure it is properly cited per APA.  The paper must be typed, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins in 12-point Times New Roman font with all references properly cited.  Your paper must include the following:

Abstract

Introduction

Literature Review

Discussion

Conclusions (summarize your conclusions)

Your Case Study (and all assignments) must follow American Psychological Association (APA) guidelines for reference and bibliographic citation. Refer to Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th Ed). 2001. Washington, D.C.: American Psychological Association.  Other APA websites are available through the Library.

Once you must submit your Ethics Final Paper please review your Turnitin score.  Your Tirnitn score should be ≤20%.  Please be aware that Turnitin is a site that checks for plagiarism. Case Studies will not be accepted for grading beyond five (5) days past the due date, and incur the 20% per day late penalty.
