Entrepreneurs face challenges within their managerial roles that usually pull back their performance in business terms. Hence, solutions should be applied immediately to allow efficient running of the business and achievement of its objectives. Managerial roles include planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. All these roles have their challenges as well as solutions. An entrepreneur is required to organize his/her activities well so that he may achieve his objectives as expected. Planning involves setting specific goals and laying down actions of how to reach them. Leading requires inspiration of the actions set down with clear guidelines and is directed towards achieving all objectives. Lastly, controlling entails the establishment of performance standards and rules which must be followed keenly for overall good performance.

One of the challenges entrepreneurs face is a lack of recognizing their employees. This involves awarding employees for their good work, and when it is not known, employees feel unappreciated or valueless, and it significantly affects their input while working (Lavoie, para 5). A solution to this could be setting aside awards and incentives to motivate workers so that they may improve their job effectiveness. Carrying out motivational talks is also an excellent method of appreciating employees, and this leads to greater performance in the future.

Another challenge is that of running bad meetings. This is a failure of entrepreneurial managers to organize their time well. They end up calling in for so many meetings which take valuable time away from the employees and this kills their morale even to resume their work. These meetings are great distractions to employees, and none of them likes being disrupted while working on serious projects which require more time and keenness. Therefore, managers should look into reducing these meetings and organizing their schedule well. Also, prioritizing is a major skill that managers need to practice to ensure more time is spent on real work projects and this improves the achievement of the business objectives in time (Lavoie, para 11). Wastage of time by any means needs to be minimized to evade failures.

Additionally, managers face adverse communication skills at work. This may include yelling at workers or sending threats to them. It instills fear within employees who end up feeling uncomfortable as they work (Lavoie, para 15). Efficient working requires all employees to be comfortable and have nothing troubling them at work. Hence, this problem can be solved by developing a workplace which is full of trust and honesty.

Lastly, entrepreneurs face a challenge of diversity issues. This comes in with discriminatory issues as well as unfair treatment. Entrepreneurial managers need to treat their employees with fairness to reduce any form of a bad reputation (Lavoie, para 19). Employees should be in a position to work in a safe environment where their needs are taken into consideration, and their comfort delivered. This will ensure a safe working environment full of love and concern for each other hence people work efficiently. It also allows excellent leadership roles which encourage high performance, and the business achieves its objectives successfully.

In conclusion, all entrepreneurs need to consider the above solutions and practice them well. They are required to learn skills concerning planning, organizing, leading and controlling and delegate them as expected. Hence, it is the role of managers to lead their employees well to achieve success in their business performance. This is better when accompanied with the good organizing of the business assets as well as time directed to all projects.
