In second part of the legislative analysis, you will increase awareness of the cycle of policy change. The creation of a diagram will demonstrate your understanding of the history of policy studies and the sequence of stages including agenda setting, policy formulation, decision-making, policy implementation, and policy evaluation. Instructions The second part of the legislative analysis will combine your previous analysis from the Legislative Analysis: Bill Identification where you will update the latest action of your chosen bill, develop a diagram showing the cycle of policy change specifically related to your chosen bill followed by a paper explaining the diagram in detail. Diagram: In the diagram you must label the sequence of stages including agenda setting, policy formulation, decision-making, policy implementation, and policy evaluation. You will create the diagram, include a label for each stage, describe your chosen bill in relation to each stage with phrases or bullet points. You can find more detailed explanations of each stage in the Module 3 Learn section. Paper: To fully explain your diagram, you will use a minimum of 5 scholarly sources in addition to congress.gov to write a 5–7-page paper in APA format using APA headings/subheadings. You will write a detailed explanation of each stage of the policy change cycle as it occurred specifically related to your chosen bill and include the latest action update. NOTE: Since many policies may be in the early stages, you will need to anticipate and integrate scholarly sources to develop content for stages to demonstrate an understanding of the policy process, required readings, and critical thinking skills. The paper length will include title page, diagram page, and reference page (3 pages) with an additional 2, but no more than 4 pages for the stage summaries. Your paper should NOT EXCEED 7 total pages. Also, APA headings/subheadings are required for organization of content.
