Instances of Sexual Harassment
The distinction in terms of the behavior among the men and women makes it hard for the community to place distinctions in terms of the character of individuals (Agostino, 2016). The differences in terms of perception are a measure that makes it hard for the community to distinguish and establish a relationship that makes the roles of men and women different. Lack of distinguishable character and behavior makes it hard for people to have respect for different genders within the community. It makes it hard for people of one gender to view the other with respect and with a positive character. The distinguishable character and behavior make it hard for men to have respect and show dignity for women if they get to see the character of men and women as different in relation to appropriateness.
The distinction only applies in settings where there is a need for distinction in terms of character and responsibilities (Lindsey, 2015). However, in the current setting where the roles of men and women are interchangeable and in some cases there are additional gender identities, the distinctions make it hard for people to show respect towards one another. Lack of distinguishable character or behavior that incorporates the instances where people can inter-correlate makes it hard for some of the community members to feel like part of the community. Lastly, it also makes it hard for the workplace settings also to understand and provide an environment that allows people to grow and expand their ability to increase in skills. An effective setting that allows personal development also offers a platform where people are involved in the growth of others irrespective of gender.
