The brain has a circuit that gives us the motive to perform and complete a desirable act. The part of the brain that controls the emotions is the Amygdala. It includes all kinds of pleasure from laughter to sex (Clark, 5). Just like any other part of our bodies, the genitals contain different types of nerves. These nerves send information to the brain which will help a person perceive these sensations depending on the place the person is being touched. All of our genitals contain different nerves which perform various functions in the body, apart from providing the nerve supply, it also sends feedback to the brain during the sexual stimulation.

The difference between the human and animal brain is that the animal brain does not necessarily need arousal and stimulation to bring out the sexual desire. Most animals usually engage in sex without prior preparation or even a constant sexual partner.

Gender identity is usually how a person perceives oneself, either as male or female or even as both. On the other hand, gender role is the outward manifestation of the personality that reflects the gender identity of a person.

The sexual identity of a person is mostly influenced by the by the external factors such as the environment and the genetic or natural elements (Adams, 2).Those characteristics that are observable are the ones that manifest the gender role. A person who recognizes herself as a female and is comfortable to refer to her gender in feminine terms, then her sexual identity is female. However, her gender role is female only if she demonstrates common female characteristics such as in the dress code and mannerism.
