  1. A liberal egalitarian theory highlights the significance of combining fairness and individual liberty in reference to seeking justice for individuals. It creates fairness for any discriminations and choices made in the society. Everyone has a right to claim a quality health care and health benefits that ensure prevention from any harm and quality services. A decent minimum health care does not necessarily mean that the health care is of quality. Therefore, people have a right to access decent health service
  2. The United States can learn something in reference to the health care system in other countries including Canada and Britain, which are ranked top in terms of medical service delivery. For instance, Canada has health system called Medicare that covers everyone seeking health services. This has been made possible by raising taxes to about ten percent of the salary people receive to cater for health service provision. It has created equitable health service provision for everybody to choose their own health facilities and get quality services. The US can also borrow some of this strategy and improve its service provision to cover all if not most of its citizens to access quality services.

The Canadian government also sets a strict financial plan for health facilities to ensure that the prices are under control. The aim for regularizing the prices in the health facilities is to ensure that the community receives quality services at low prices, which is attainable across the country. However, caution should be taken in imposing high taxes on income of individuals since there is a chance that it may affect economic growth given that the high-income earners are taxed more than the low-income earners.

  1. Healthcare system in the US is considered the most advanced system in the developed countries. It has been brought about by the advancement in technology and its relation to the provision of health services, which has had a tremendous positive impact in relation to the provision of quality health services for people. However, despite having quality health services there has been no uniform health system and some people face a challenge in accessing quality services given that it is very expensive, especially to low income earners. The poor quality of health service provision in the US can be improved through various actions that the government can absorb and implement.

One problem that has resulted in the cost of medicine to escalate is the monopoly that pharmaceutical industries hold over production of medical drugs. Domination over drug production has allowed these industries to control the market prices irrespective of the different classes of people in the society. The government needs to come up with a policy on how to standardize the cost of drugs in the market. In addition, there is a need for the government to set aside finances to buy these drugs and distribute to public health facilities at a lower price, which is affordable for everyone in the society. The health care system in the US initially accommodated individuals with insurance cover whose medical services were already covered irrespective of whether it is a public institution or a private health facility. There are different health insurance covers that provide for different health service provision, depending on the financial status of an individual. The low-income earners, in this case, are not able to pay for their insurance covers inclusive of their families. In order for the government to ensure equitable distribution of quality services, there is need to reduce the cost of health care and insurances. Reduction in health insurance cover creates an opportunity for people especially those with low financial stability to have an equal opportunity of getting quality health care from the hospitals.
