Personality development is a tool that facilitates improved quality of life because an individual is capable of interacting with different people after mastering the right ways people respond to different stimuli and communications. It is important to evaluate the way personality development improves interactions and society over time, especially when an individual focuses on improving the skills that lead to cultural tolerance. Various studies have provided critical evaluations of the importance of personality development in a multicultural environment. The mannerism in which a person interacts with others will determine the success of a positive social relationship.

Does forming an accurate impression influence the development of a new relationship? Human et al. (2020) evaluate this question by carrying out quantitative research that provides details of the nature of relationships that develop through positive impressions. The objective of the research was to determine the way perceptions and self-reported personality traits support the development of new relationships. The method used in the study involved a quantitative approach that had 122 participants who expressed their personality impressions to see if new relationships would develop among new contacts. The findings showed that the perceiver of the information from the respondent developed a liking when the association was based on the accuracy of the communication and the relationship went beyond the normative interactions that develop among people. The findings in the research are essential in understanding personality development because it links the improvement of individual competency with success and developing new relationships.

In another study, Meca et al. (2017) determined the influence of personal and cultural identity development in defining relationships among adolescent Hispanic immigrants into the US. The purpose of the research was to show the importance of Personality development as a method of improving coherent and eliminating confusion among young people for proper psychological functioning. The method used is quantitative and 302 respondents were selected for the research and why immigrant Hispanic adolescents. The gender composition of the sample was 53% male and 47% female. The research found out that the learning process enabled adolescent youths to interact well with others and about aggression through coherent and sustainable cultural tolerance. The result is relevant because it shows the inventor of positive learning experiences of personality development in peaceful existence in society.

Schwaba et al. (2018) evaluated the influence of openness to experiences and cultural flexibility to improve special interactions in an individual’s lifespan. Pacific purpose of the study was to determine how an individual’s ability to develop openness to experiences would change personality traits as well as affect the cultural activity of the individuals involved. The methods of the study involved a longitudinal internet approach to gather and analyze information that would be essential in identifying problems related to the lack of skill about an individual’s cultural practices. The number of participants involved was 7,353 aged from 16 to 95 years old. The findings indicated that individuals who approach other peoples’ cultures with open-mindedness end up achieving positive cultural interactions because of the flexibility they have towards other people.

Finally, Syed et al. (2020) studied personality development from the age of 2 to 32 as an active stage of learning how to associate with others. The purpose of the study was to determine the essence of personality development in the first three decades of life in improving one’s ego control and meta traits ego resiliency for positive existence in society. The methods used 139 participants who were assessed for 9 times in their first 3 decades of life to measure ego control and ego resilience that led to proper personal identity. The findings showed that an active process of personality development through learning led to positive well-being in adulthood and the ego resiliency and control became stable. The research implies the need for continuous development for significant change in positive behaviors for individuals.
