The most important concepts I learned is how to write up an efficient proposal. Over the years and before embarking on the course, coming up with a competent proposal proved very challenging, a feat that saw me grapple with suggestions and applications to find the right course or idea. Learning how to come up with the proposal became a critical aspect of my course in addition to improving my skills in written English. Initially, written English was such a challenging task, a struggle that saw me make many attempts at getting the right approach to mastering the language. However, with the skills in writing up a proposal in an academic way, I put lots of effort in endearing to the basics of putting together a compelling proposal besides improving my English language. For instance, I believe, it will not be long before I embark on an exercise to draft up a proposal for any of the units I am undertaking. With the skills and techniques well within my ability, I believe I will be well poised to come up with a professional proposal and defend it to my level best.
I did learn the concepts and skill of doing research in addition to doing peer review sources too, a feat that enhanced my learning skills and research methods. My significant milestone in doing my research came after a series of failures, attempts, and groping. However, my determination to grasp the technical skills of research and getting to peer review sources formed the cornerstone of my commitment and effort. Undertaking research and the ability to finding peer review sources would help me overcome some of the challenges that I initially faced in some of the different classes I took. It forms a fundamental component of my learning and career development not only in the current faculty but also in my future education endeavors. For example, most of the essays, research, and narrative papers will involve in-depth research and investigation. It will thus help me make significant inroads in academic writing in addition to improving my mastery of my career prospects.
A good argument forms the cornerstone of any professional proposal. During my course training, I learned of the ability to derive a good argument, establish the logic and consistency behind an intelligent debate, and capacity to distinguish between the appropriate case and the inappropriate argument. On the other hand, learning the above concepts on developing a good argument and coming up with rational reasons behind my argument forms the basis of my hypothesis in any proposal or essay. It is thus important to learn to understand the many facets of an argument and to distinguish and respect other people’s opinions while still upholding their cases. Additionally, the above aspect is key to helping me maintain and consider my mind from all possible positions. It is vital to note that, being in a position to have an all round objective and focus on an argument helps establish a robust proposal, essay, research study, or a hypothesis paper. I believe that the knowledge I have garnered during the semester and in this particular class is essential and will form the basis of my upcoming and future career prospects. Additionally, as an English student, I believe that continued effort in research, proposal, and argument synthesis is important in sharpening one’s language skills.
