Sample Reflection Paper on My favorite Game
My favorite game during my childhood days was the sack race. One day, when I was six, my parents took us on a trip to visit a family friend during the Thanksgiving holiday. On arrival, I was very excited to find a group of around ten children who were playing the sack race game. I was glad when one of them invited me to join the game. To make it more exciting, we had obstacles placed right before the finish line. One of the major characteristics of play was that it was interactive and allowed us to socialize with one another. The experience in this game worked on my creativity as well. I had to find a way to overcome the two sprinkler obstacles that were placed right before me. These experiences helped me realize that I was able to conquer my fears. I learned that playing with other children developed my confidence. Besides, I felt more courageous and physically strong, especially after hopping through the 50-meter distance.
I think play is an essential part of the development process of every child. Firstly, play gives children a chance to utilize their creative nature. It expands a child’s imagination as well as emotional strength. Secondly, play immensely contributes to the brain development of a child and helps him or her interact with their surroundings. Evidently, children who participate in games, especially with their peers, improve their communication skills. Such children are social and find it easy to learn how to resolve conflicts even at a very young age. Play also helps them advance and practice their decision-making skills. Moreover, it is vital for children to participate in plays, since it works well while establishing their group skills, which is essential for their future.
