The Chaplain’s Calling is essential to successful ministry. Chaplaincy is not a career choice, but rather a divine calling from God on a person’s life to lead spiritually. It is paramount that the student is confidence that the Lord has called him/her into chaplaincy to be a spiritual leader. Therefore, in this research paper the student will examine Jesus’ call to Peter to lead and appraise similarities with their calling. Still further, the student will be challenged to contemplate their expanding leadership calling, even as Peter’s call from Christ grew to be the first leader of the Church.

Instructions

Appraise the calling of Peter from Jesus’ invitation to follow, to Peter’s full submission to lead the church. Explore personal similarities with your calling and implications for you as a chaplain leader.

  • Integrate a minimum of 10 relative Scripture passages to demonstrate God’s progressive work in Peter’s life and calling to lead.
  • Integrate a minimum of 10 relative Scripture passages to the maturing of your personal calling and preparedness to lead.
  • Demonstrate interaction with assigned textbooks.
